In 1856 in the Novgorod province on the river Peretna, in 5 km from Nikolaev (nowadays October) railway, the small stationery factory has been built.
In 1869 the groundwood mill has been built, and in 1883 at stationery factory the pulp mill - one of first two Russian sulphit-pulp mills was started up.
The favorable geographical position, namely nearness of two capitals and the railway, have created favorable conditions for the further development of the mill.
Since 1917 for 1993 – the State stationery mill of Yaroslavl, submits to the state trust of paper industry "Centrobumtrest ".
Since 1934 the mill is called Okulovsky pulp-and-paper mill.
In 1941, in days of the Great World War, the equipment has been evacuated on the East.
Since 1944 for 1951 the mill was recovered.
In 1966 the mill is awarded by the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
In 1995 TPP of the mill is completely transferred on natural gas.
Since 2000 the paper mill has used only wastepaper for paper manufacture.
In 2005 the enterprise has received a rank «the Winner of competition« 10 best goods and services of the Novgorod region ».
In 2006 – the mill has celebrated the 150-year-old anniversary.
In 2007 the start up of the new shop on manufacture of moulded pulp products is carried out.
In 2009 – The paper machine is put into operation, which is absolutely new in Russia.
